Oklahoma City Thunder at Portland Trailblazers (-2) Betting Odds

Oklahoma City (49-31, 47-32 ATS) is wilting down the stretch. The Thunder has lost three of its last four games, including a tough-to-stomach 120-117 loss at Golden State on Sunday. The defeat continued Oklahoma's skid at the sportsbook; the team has dropped three of its last four games against the spread, although it's still a solid 6-4 on NBA odds in its last 10 games. Despite the loss at Golden State, the Thunder have played very well on the road, covering seven of their past 10 games against the spread.

Defensively, the Thunder have been a wreck over the past few games. Oklahoma City has allowed 119.3 points per game over its last three outings, and that's much too demanding for any offense to keep up with-even one led by Kevin Durant. Speaking of Durant, he dropped 40 points on the Warriors to up his scoring average to 30.1 PPG. KD is trying to hold off LeBron James for the scoring championship. Durant added 10 rebounds against Golden State.

Portland (49-31, 44-34-2 ATS) is coming off a 91-88 road win over the struggling Los Angeles Lakers. The victory improved the Blazers to 3-1 in their past four games and 12-3 in their past 15. The Trailblazers have been ineffective against the spread lately, however-they've covered on NBA odds just twice in their past five games. Portland has been much better than that over the past 10, going 6-3-1 against the spread. Sports betting fans can't trust the Blazers at home; they're just 5-5 against the spread in their past 10 games in Portland.

The Blazer "D" has played exceptionally well over the last week or so. In the past four games-Portland is 3-1 in that span-the Blazers have allowed just 85.8 points per game on defense. That's an elite number heading into the postseason. It's a good thing, too, because the offense has been pretty quite. During the same stretch Portland is averaging just 89.8 points per game, and the team hasn't cracked triple figures in five outings. Brandon Roy has averaged just 15.2 points over those games, and he managed just 11 minutes and two points in the Laker game before leaving with knee pain. He'll sit out Monday night.

Portland has won five of its last seven meetings with the Thunder. The Blazers also won five of those games against the spread, and all but one of them went under the total. Betus has the total set at 187 points.
