At this point, though, it's hard to even call the Knicks (22-20) contenders. They lost to the Spurs on Friday night and are 0-5 in their past five games. New York hasn't been much better against the spread and, a bunch of those losses came to inferior teams (Sacramento, Phoenix and Houston).

There's no doubt the Knicks are running out of gas-if not completely empty at this point. Scoring less than 100 points per game is becoming an alarming trend and, quite frankly, so is scoring less than 90 points. The team never knows what to expect from guard Raymond Felton on a given night, except that if he struggles, New York is probably going to lose.

Felton shot 47 percent from the field in October and November. He was down to just 41 percent in December. Now, he's finally hit rock bottom, making just 36 percent of his field goals in January. If anything, there's increasing pressure on the front office to make a deal for Carmelo Anthony, though the Knicks seem content to wait until the offseason, when Anthony will be a free agent. That's probably the wiser move in the long-run, as it will save New York valuable pieces, but it certainly doesn't bode well for the teams immediate prospects.

Oklahoma City (27-15, 22-20 ATS) has hit a two-game skid, ending a four-game winning streak. Both losses came on the road, and both times the Thunder failed to cover, ending a 4-0 run against the spread.

At least the losses were to good teams. The Thunder fell to the Lakers 101-94 on Monday before losing 112-107 to the Nuggets on Wednesday. Despite the losses, Russell Westbrook continues to amaze. He was recently named Western Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season. Westbrook is absolutely on fire over his last five games, and he's been all over the court; the guard is averaging 27.4 points, 11.8 assists, 6.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks per game in that span.

Oklahoma City is 3-2 in its last five games against the Knicks, though New York holds a 3-2 advantage against the spread. The Knicks have covered back-to-back games against the Thunder, including a 112-98 home win in December. The total went under in that game, snapping a two-game over streak. BetUS.com has set the total for Saturday's match up at 222 points.
