Memphis (36-29, 41-23-1 ATS) has rolled to five victories in its last seven games and is 17-6 since Jan. 21. The Grizzlies have won back-to-back outings after an impressive 107-101 win over Oklahoma City on Monday. The Grizzlies covered, continuing their dominance against the spread and improving to 6-1 ATS in their last seven games.

Lately, the Grizzlies have received a nice boost from Shane Battier. Battier, who was drafted by the team years ago, was acquired from the Rockets about two weeks ago. Memphis is 4-2 since Battier rejoined the club and, more importantly, three of those wins came against serious contenders—San Antonio, Dallas and Oklahoma City.

There team is also getting a great effort from Mike Conley right now. The young guard is averaging 17.2 points over his last five games, and he’s recorded at least nine assists in three of his last four starts. Against Oklahoma City, Conley racked up 20 points, nine assists and zero turnovers.

New York (33-29, 38-22-2 ATS) might finally be rounding into form after the Carmelo Anthony trade. The club has won three of its last four games, including back-to-back wins. The Knicks ran all over Utah on Monday, winning 131-109 at home. New York covered as a six-point favorite, improving to 5-1 ATS in its last six games.

Fans are hoping Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire gave fans a sign of things to come in the win over Utah. Both players scored 30-plus points in the same game for the first time since becoming teammates. Anthony is averaging 25.9 points in a Knicks uniform and has posted at least 22 points in all but one of his eight games.

Now, New York just needs to get Chauncey Billups back. The veteran guard has missed four straight games with a deep thigh bruise. With second-year guard Toney Douglas playing so well in Billups’ place, though, there may not be a terrible rush to get him back. Douglas is averaging 16.2 points, 5.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and shooting 62 percent from the field in four starts while filling in for Billups.

Memphis is 6-4 in its last 10 games against the Knicks, though New York is 5-4-1 ATS in those games. They teams haven’t played this season, though, and this is a completely remodeled Knicks squad. The teams traditionally play wide-open basketball, though, as five of their last six meetings have gone over the total. BetEd.com has set the total for Wednesday’s match up at 212 points.

Point Spread Pick

Neither one of these teams play solid defense and the historical trend in this series is to the over (5 of L6). That's where my money is going to go in this game.
