Denver Nuggets at New York Knicks Betting Odds

The Nuggets (47-23, 31-34-5 ATS) have eased into a very minor slump; they've lost two of their past four games, though they're still an impressive 8-2 in their past 10 games. Denver is coming off a 102-97 home loss to Milwaukee. Results have been disastrous at the sportsbook, though; Denver has lost four consecutive games on NBA odds. The Nuggets are 4-3-3 in their past 10 games away from home.

Denver's high-flying offense has cooled over the last week or so. The Nuggets rank third in the NBA at 107.5 points per game, but they've failed to crack the 100-point mark in three straight outings-they've averaged just 95.7 points per game in that span. Leading-scorer Carmelo Anthony certainly can't be blamed, as he's putting up 28.0 points per game in his last three starts. Chauncy Billups, on the other hand, was having some troubles. Though he dropped 29 points in the recent loss to Milwaukee, he averaged just 10 in his two previous games.

The Knicks (25-45, 32-37-1 ATS) lost 116-112 to the Houston Rockets last weekend, but they remain a solid 3-2 in their past five outings straight up. New York is playing mediocre basketball against the spread, with a rather unimpressive 5-4-1 run in its last 10 games on NBA odds. Madison Square Garden hasn't exactly given the team a boost, either; the Knicks are 4-6 against the spread in their past 10 home games.

David Lee is quietly having a banner season for the Knicks. He missed a game last week with a knee injury but bounced back like a superstar against the Rockets; Lee finished with 27 points, 20 rebounds and six assists-all team-highs. He even blocked two shots for good measure. Lee is averaging 20.2 points and 11.8 rebounds this season, both career highs.

Denver and New York have met just once this season, a 128-125 scorefest in November that the Nuggets won. Although the Knicks covered, Denver is 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 meetings with New York, not to mention 8-2 straight up in that span. The total was split between over and under in those games; Sportsbook.com has the total set at 217.
