Texas will send CJ Wilson (6-3, 3.35 ERA) to the mound. He's been excellent this season and enjoyed a stellar run in June. The Rangers won all five of his starts, and the southpaw went 3-0 with a 3.09 ERA. Wilson allowed just two runs in seven innings against Houston last week. He was lit up in his lone appearance against the Angels this season, allowing seven runs in 4.1 innings of work. It continued a bad trend for Wilson, who is 1-2 with a 5.59 ERA in 29 career appearances against LA (though just two were starts).

The Rangers rank third in the American League in run scoring. A huge part of that has been Josh Hamilton and Vladimir Guerrero. The duo has been spectacular, and Hamilton was an absolute monster in June. He hit a whopping .457 with nine home runs and 31 RBIs. Guerrero also continued his torrid pace, hitting .326 with four homers and 19 ribbies. Really, the whole lineup pulled its weight; six regulars hit at least .300, and the team managed a .313 average for the month.

Jered Weaver (7-3, 3.01 ERA) has strung together three straight quality starts. Last week he went seven strong against Colorado, allowing just five hits and two runs. Better yet, he's been overpowering hitters lately, striking out 22 batters in his last two outings. Weaver struggled when he faced Texas earlier this year, allowing nine hits and seven runs in just 4.2 innings. Generally, he's been pretty solid against the Rangers throughout his career, going 4-3 with a 3.88 ERA in 15 starts.

Los Angeles is hitting just .259 on the season, but the team had a pretty solid June, hitting .279. Torii Hunter led the way at the dish, hitting .330 with a team-high five homers and 24 RBIs throughout the month. Hideki Matsui also appears to have turned a corner. He was awful in May, hitting .229, but he bounced back to his 100 points higher than that in June. Five Angels hit .300 or higher over the past month.
