Colorado Rockies at Florida Marlins Betting Odds

Opening Moneyline Odds: Colorado Rockies (-160) at Florida Marlins (+140) at Sportsbook.com

Ubaldo Jimenez (15-1, 2.20 ERA) pitches anywhere near the level he did in the first half of the season, he's well on his way to one of the greater seasons in recent memory. The Colorado ace has been nothing short of fantastic on MLB odds, though he did show signs of slowing toward the All-Star break. He went through a string of three consecutive starts where he allowed 17 total runs in 17.2 innings. Jimenez got back on track in his last start, though, holding the Cardinals to three hits and one run in eight innings. This will be the righty's third career start against Florida; he's 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA in his previous meetings.

The Rockies' offense has struggled since returning from the break, scoring just four runs in its first three games. The lineup was absolutely brutal, hitting just .141 over the weekend. Clint Barnes was probably the only player to pull his weight, hitting .300 in the weekend series with Cincinnati. It was another story when Colorado played Florida in a three-game set earlier this year; the Rockies racked up 17 runs while hitting .295 in just three games.

Florida will start Anibal Sanchez (7-6, 3.66 ERA), who also had his struggles down the stretch. Sanchez surrendered nine earned runs in his last two starts, including a five-run, four-inning collapse against Arizona to wrap up his first half of the season. He's traditionally picked up his play after the All-Star break, however, so MLB betting fans can expect an upswing soon. Sanchez has faced the Rockies just once in his career; he got a win after allowing just two runs in 5.2 innings of work.

The Marlins lineup has been just as bad since returning from the All-Star game. The team managed just three runs in its three-game series last week, while hitting .159. Florida didn't get much going in its series with Colorado earlier this season, either-the Marlins scored nine runs and hit .240 in three games.
